Groove joined AI Dance in July 2026. It is set to a Brazilian funk beat and built on a move almost anyone can picture: bent arms pumping like running while the feet step in place. Around it come two poses that show off the face, the hands held flat under the chin like a picture frame, and then both hands thrown high above the head. "Groove dance" is one of the most searched dance phrases in the US, thousands of searches a month, mostly from people who want something fun to move to without learning a full choreography. This template is that kind of dance. It has no turns, no jumps and no floor work, and it costs 1 credit, the lowest price of any dance. It is a good everyday template: a birthday message, a "the weekend is here" post, or a reply to a group chat. Because the face is framed twice, a photo with a big smile turns out best. ### The moves A hand gesture by the shoulder, then the arms come together and fly out to the sides. Alternating bent-arm swings like running while stepping in place, the hands framing the face under the chin, both hands high above the head, and the running arms again to finish. Bouncy and upbeat. ## How to make the Groove video 1. **Add your photo.** Upload one clear photo of you or a friend, facing the camera, as much of the body in the frame as you can. 2. **Tap Make my video.** The Groove dance costs 1 credit. The AI copies the moves onto your photo while you wait, about a few minutes. 3. **Download and post.** You get a 11 second 9:16 MP4. Post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts and add the sound inside the app. ## Best photo for Groove - Use a full-body or knee-up photo, standing, facing the camera. - Smile in the photo. The frame-the-face pose shows the face up close, twice. - Keep your hands empty and your arms a little away from your body. - Pick a sharp photo in good light with a plain background. - One person per photo. The AI animates the biggest person in the frame. Avoid: - Group photos, or a second person cut off at the edge - Faces turned away, covered or in deep shadow - Blurry or very dark photos - Heavy filters, stickers or text on the photo ## Post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts - Your video comes without music. Any upbeat funk or pop sound fits; the moves are simple enough for most tracks. - Use it as a greeting: birthdays, Fridays, a new job. The hands-up moment works as a cheer. - Pick the frame-the-face moment as your cover frame. Caption idea: Weekend mode.
