These are the TikTok dance trends you can still ride in October 2026, each with its song, where it started, how hot it is now and an AI template that puts you in it from one photo. The biggest right now is the AI Hotel Lobby trend, which peaked in late September. Updated October 6, 2026.

## Trending now

- [Gas Station Dance](https://danceaiapp.com/templates/gas-station-dance) (Rising now, song: Stay with Me (On and On)): The trend comes from a 2024 video filmed at night at a gas station during a road trip: one person dances happily next to the car, a second films on a phone and laughs, and a third gets out of the car and joins in while someone shouts "Delai!" (Russian for "Do it!").

Each one is explained below with dates and sources.

## Hotel Lobby: the AI trend of the fall

**Status: past its peak, still widely posted.** The Hotel Lobby trend swaps the two performers in Quavo and Takeoff's 2022 COLORS performance of "Hotel Lobby (Unc & Phew)" for anyone else, in the same orange studio with one shared microphone.

Know Your Meme traces the earliest known AI edit to September 16, 2026. A cat version followed two days later, and by September 23 XXL was reporting versions with politicians, TV characters and athletes. US Google searches for "ai hotel lobby" peaked on September 25, 2026.

It needs exactly two people, which makes it the duo post of the season. [Make your Hotel Lobby video](https://danceaiapp.com/templates/hotel-lobby) from one photo of you and a friend (8 credits).

## Gas Station Dance: the three-friends AI trend

**Status: rising.** The Gas Station Dance swaps you and two friends into a 2024 road-trip video filmed at a gas station at night: one friend dances by the car, one films and laughs, and one steps out of the car to join in, to "Stay with Me" by Akcent. It turned into an AI template trend in September 2026, as several Sostav guides described on September 25, 2026.

## Boo Challenge: the Halloween dance

**Status: seasonal.** For Halloween, the Boo Challenge is a fast routine of claps and chopping arms on every "boop" of "BOO" by H3adband. Use a photo of yourself in costume, in front of your decorations: the AI keeps your outfit and your background. [Make your Boo Challenge video](https://danceaiapp.com/templates/boo-challenge).

## Parking Lot Dance: night street routines

**Status: new on AI Dance in October 2026.** Dancing in an empty parking lot at night, with a phone on the ground and street lights for stage lights, is a format that never really leaves TikTok. Our [Parking Lot Dance](https://danceaiapp.com/templates/parking-lot-dance) template is an 18-second routine in that style, with kicks, body rolls and a hair flip on a slowed Jersey club beat.

This one is our pick rather than a measured trend: we have no outside data on it yet, and we will say so until we do.

## She Did It Again: Tyla's spring hit

**Status: fading.** "SHE DID IT AGAIN" by Tyla featuring Zara Larsson came out on April 17, 2026. Its smooth, hip-led dance spread through the spring, and in May 2026 it became a celebrity dance challenge in the Philippines, as GMA Network reported on May 21, 2026.

## Copines: the dance that keeps coming back

**Status: steady.** "Copines" by Aya Nakamura came out in 2018, spawned a dance on Instagram Reels in 2021, and came back in 2026 through "then and now" videos. By April 2026 the song had passed 17.6 million video creations on TikTok and ranked among the 50 most-used songs on the platform worldwide.

## C-Walk: always on

**Status: evergreen.** The C-Walk is a footwork dance from Compton, California, that dates to the early 1970s and is now part of mainstream hip hop, from Olympic celebrations to Super Bowl halftime shows. US searches for "c walk dance" peaked in January 2026, during the AI dance video wave, and stay high every month.

## Six Seven (67): the meme that became a dance

**Status: past its peak.** "67" comes from Skrilla's song "Doot Doot (6 7)", officially released on February 7, 2025. It became the meme of 2025, with a palms-up hand bounce, and Dictionary.com named "67" its Word of the Year in October 2025. Searches have faded since, but the meme is still widely known.

## What else is on TikTok this month?

Some October 2026 trends are not dances you can do from a photo, so we have no template for them. NewEngen's October list (updated October 5, 2026) includes the Ramalama Costume Walk to Róisín Murphy's "Ramalama (Bang Bang)", the "Be OK" happy dance to Ingrid Michaelson's song, and the Pumpkin Head Illusion. In September its list had the "Bass Persuades" dance to the song by MILEY.

## How we pick and date these trends

We list a trend only when we have an AI template for it, and every fact on this page has a date and a source you can check. We read the news and Know Your Meme, and we check Google's US search data to see whether a trend is rising, at its peak or fading.

The status labels mean: **rising**, searches and posts are still growing; **peak**, at or near the top; **steady**, holding at a stable level; **fading**, past the peak and dropping; **evergreen**, a dance people keep coming back to every month. We update this page at the start of each month and move faded trends down to "Past trends", where their templates stay available.
